Getting data to change on website after export
Getting data to change on website after export
I have two questions.
1. I made a change to a game after scoring it and exporting to the servers. I re-exported it after making the change in the play by play, but the changes do not show up on the team website. Do I need to delete the game from the web server and then re-export it?
2. I have de-selected some league on the iPad, but they still show up on the team website. How do I get those leagues to go away?
Thanks

Re: Getting data to change on website after export
After exporting, any changes you have made should automatically show up on the website. If you are not seeing the change, then possibly your browser is doing some kind of caching. You can try clearing your browser cache.
The leagues that show up in the dropdown are based on the leagues the team is associated with. Go to Team Manager on your device, select the team, select Leagues, and make sure only the leagues you want to appear on your team website are checked.

Thanks, that makes sense as I'm pretty sure I've made changes before and they updated on the website. I'm not sure how to clear my web browsers cache. I use IE.

Usually it would be in the "Tools" menu under "Internet Options". There is a "Delete..." button under "Browsing History" and you would probably want to delete "Temporary Internet Files".

Re: Getting data to change on website after export
Thanks, did both items and it fixed neither. Scorecard online still shows up as a PB instead of a WP, even though it is fixed on the ipad.
Also, went in and deselected the pre-season stuff from my team's league selection on ipad, and from the leagues menu. All the games still show up on the team's website though. I even went in a deleted the leagues from the pre-season games and they still show up on the team's website. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it is not working.

Re: Getting data to change on website after export
You must email the scorecard to update it on the website. You can send the email to "web" if you don't want to send the email to an actual email address. The server keeps a copy for itself whenever you email the scorecard.
For the games shown on the website, it will always show all games when "All" league is selected. If you want to hide the preseason games, you will actually have to create a "Preseason" league and a "Regular Season" league, make sure to assign all games to the appropriate leagues and make sure both leagues are assigned to your Team. After doing this, do an Export. Then log in to your Team Website with the Admin password, and go to Settings. You can select the Regular Season as the default league to display, and this will hide the Preseason games by default.

Re: Getting data to change on website after export
Thanks, re-emailing the game fixed it. I thought it was odd that in the play by play of the game, it showed the change, but the scorecard did not.
As to games showing up, I do have pre-season and regular season leagues. I even have what age/division we play, along with each tournamnet as a separate league. I de-selected all the pre-season in both leagues of the iPad and leagues under our team. However, the games still showed up on the team website, even if I did not have a league selected for the games. I did change the default for our website to regualr season, just wondering why I can't get it to where the games do not even show up on the team website.

Re: Getting data to change on website after export
The website always has the "All" selection available. You can disable selecting of leagues altogether on the Settings screen of the Team Website, and this would prevent any games other than the ones in your selected league from being viewable (i.e. set the default league to "Regular Season" and disable selection of leagues).

Re: Getting data to change on website after export
@morpwrr..
Sounds like you are a bit confused still on leagues, let me try and help..
In game manager, go game-by- game and for each game and set the league assignments. review/do this for every game, This is very critical step, make sure only regular season games are in the regular season league. And pre season games in the pre season league. This is how the program knows how to group stats. If these assignments are off, your filters will be off.
Second, In team manager, select your web site team, then leagues..again, review the teams league assignments, assign only those leagues you want to be visible on web site to the team. Ie check mark regular season. The leagues you check mark here are the only ones that will be visible in drop down menu on web site.
Third, Option export to post your new settings to the servers.. ( you must do this)
Fourth, Go to your team web site, log in as administrator, go to to settings,
Under leagues set the default league to 'regular season'.
Set the guest selectable value as you want. (e.g always deny)
Hit save.
Now go to the games and/or statistics tab, and you will only have regular season games/stats..
Should be all good..let us know if you have more questions
