Runners on 1st and 3rd, one out.
Batter takes a ball, runner on first attempts to steal 2nd.
Catcher throws to 2nd, Shortstop tags out runner . . .
runner (from 3rd) is headed home, Shortstop throws home in time for the catcher to tag out the runner in a bang-bang play.
So, I wanted to score this a double play but after scoring the "Caught Stealing" at 2nd, iScore indicated play was ended - I scored another attempted Steal (of home) with the out recorded as 6-2. Not a big thing, but it was a beautiful defensive play and I wanted to acknowledge it with credit for at least a double-play.
Is there another way to do this?
Thanks
How would you score this one?
Re: How would you score this one?
Not perfect (and a bit counter-intuitive), but...
Start with the runner on third.
Click runner on third > Home > OUT > Caught Stealing > 2-6-2
What happened to runner on 1st?
Second > OUT > Double Play
Perhaps add a note for clearer explanation.
Someone else may have a better solution for single-play entry.
