Ipad Cumulative Stats

Post by JREagles » Sat May 28, 2011 4:59 pm

We have completed 16 games. When I enter get team stats, the batting and pitching show 16 games, but fielding totals only 15.

Can you explain why this may happen?

Sounds like maybe a game was scored without the fielding positions having been set? You can try viewing a player card, and see if each of the 16 games is listed for the player in the Fielding Stats section. This will help identify which of the 16 games is not giving credit for fielding stats. You would then be able to go back to the Pitch by Pitch for that game, and set the defensive positions for the players.

I noticed a similar reporting difference but the opposite situation - fielding stats show 9 games in a tournament, batting shows 8 except for the 3 players who batted in the final ITB tie-breaker. All players were in line-up, but since it was a single inning tie-breaker, we never made it through the lineup. Not a problem, just wanted to mention it.

Thank you.

I have finally gone back and corrected a few games that the positions weren't correct when looking at the scorecard. The fielding stats are still shy of two games.

Have a missed something else to look at? I went into Pitch by pitch to make corrections.

A quick way to see fielding positions by game is to log in to the Admin Website, and look at the play by play for each game. It will show the positions played for each player by inning. Make sure it matches what you expect.

Is that the only way to do it? I haven't been sending stats/game info to be saved on Admin. Website.

Also, when you manually override stats, do you need to press the recalc button top right? Would this cause the above discrepancy?

Just a thought...

Thanks again.

FYI - It is highly recommended to do an Export (from the Options menu) after each game if you can or as soon as possible if you don't have a connection at the field. FTM will store all of your data and there is no extra charge for this. If you have a problem with a device and need to replace it, FTM can transfer the data and you don't lose anything.

You do not want to use the recalc button. Stats will update automatically. If you have override stats, be careful not to lose them by accidentally pressing recalc.

I have an issue where one player is showing 11 games for one player, but we have only played 10 games in that league. I go to the player card and team website and they both show 10 games, but cumulative stats shows 11 games and different stats.

This occurs while looking at the iPad cumulative stats. I have tried exporting and tuning... re-import. Same results.
