How do you score a batter who bunts, beats out the throw, but never stops at first because there is no one covering 2nd? A hit and a stolen base right?

What about a batter who hits the ball to right field and the throw goes home (there was a runner on 2nd who scored) and the batter ends up standing on third?

first thing is to be consistent and appropriate for your age/league find what works for you and apply it consistently.

1) Bunt, stolen base would be a common way to score it. .(but depending on what defense did, can often be "on the throw", or by "error", or even if you want "defensive indifference" though technically I believe DI is not supposed to be used often, if the defense had a reason not to throw down to second ( ie hold runner at third) then a defensive strategy not indifference and give the SB.


2) hit single, advance on the throw, to 2nd, and to 3rd, runer at 2, advanced by batter and Safe at home run scored. no error on the play.
