Emailing stats error at end of game

Cannot seem to open the excel stat form on my droid x. After the game is done I want to email the stats to myself so I have an easy way to relay the stats when I call the local newspaper. When I email it and hit "preview" it looks like the "gamestats.xls" is loading but I get "File cannot be opened error."

Would love to have a traditional box score added to the device app on the phone…would make a good thing a great thing.

You may want to try opening the CSV on your Droid X instead. Maybe it does not have an XLS viewer installed?

You can actually view complete game stats on your device without having to look at the email. Just go to Game Manager, select the game, then select Batting Stats for your team for that game, and a nice table comes up with all the stats for the game.

We got your request for box scores in the other thread as well. Thank you.

Quick Office on the Droid is unable to open the Excel spreadsheets we are sending as stats from within the iScore for Android app? It seems it should work fine. We would not expect it to be able to open the Excel files from the iOS version of iScore as it uses a newer XML Excel format, but the Android version of iScore sends in Excel5 format which Quick Office should be able to handle. Are you able to open other XLS files you email to yourself on your device?

Yes...so far this has been the only excel form that has given me any problems...I'm still playing with it.

Still having problems with excel, other droid users have the same issue...like you said excel files from ios will not open. I was able to download a app that does open the excel form but find it just as easy to have the iscore app open while talking on the phone with the local paper and open each field as they ask for it ie Home batting, then visitors batting, home pitching etc.
With that being said do you know if there is discussion on your team about being able to email the box score from the web site or getting the box score added to the device?
Have a great day!

Yes, we have definitely been talking about allowing emailing of the box score direct. You can email from the website now from a desktop machine (most modern browsers allow emailing a web page), but on a device it is much more difficult right now.

Yes, most browsers do allow you too. I have completely switched to gmail now so it's not as easy. Every time I click on "send" it wants me to go through outlook (Microsoft likes to handcuff you like that)

I am still trying...thanks for all of your assistance...this is still hands down the best hand held scoring device and I know you guys will make it even better as time move forward.
