Scoring of Assists/Errors

Post by jacjacatk » Fri Apr 15, 2011 7:50 am

Ground ball to the SS who throws to first. First baseman drops the ball, runner safe. If I'm reading the MLB rules correctly (10.10(a)(1), http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/of ... rer_10.jsp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) that should result in an assist for the SS and an error for the 1B. I can't seem to figure out how to get iscore to score it that way. Assuming I'm correct about how it's supposed to be scored, how can I do it correctly in iscore?

iScore does not record assists when there is an error. You will have to use Notes as a reminder to update the stats manually after the game.
Something like E3A6.

Nice tip coach thunder..

Also, I believe I recall this mentioned in a prior post in the enhancement suggestion forum, as on FTM list to try and create some way to solve in the user questioning in a future version to capture as the play happens..
