Substitution Question

Last night while scoring a game, I got lost in a substitution. Here's the situation:

I wanted my pitcher to come out of the game and my CF to become the pitcher. Technically, the substitution for my pitcher was a girl coming off the bench to play left field. So, I needed my pitcher to be on the bench, my CF to go to pitcher, and the girl on the bench to go to LF, and my current LF to go to CF. The substitution itself was simple, but then it had the girl I wanted to go to LF, pitching.

How can you switch positions around during a game? Do you do it in the starting lineup? The tutorial said not to mess with the starting lineup after the game starts.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Welcome to the board.

To sub in a game tap the position, in your case pitcher. Your teams lineup will pop up, tap the name of the new pitcher. Repeat this process for the other positions, tap save.

Keep in mind that iScore will only do the defensive changes in the above scenario it will not automatically make the offensive changes. You can make the offensive changes by tapping the batter when they come to the plate.

Ah ha. Boy, that was a lot easier than I made it out to be. So in the defensive screen, it's not really "subbing" in players. Cool.

Thanks for the help.

Correct, basically iScore exchanges players defensively. Depending on the level of play youth vs MLB there may not be a offensive change if youth ball is batting continuous lineup. So with iScores, score what you see approach, you wouldn't score the offensive changes until they come to the plate.

Are there plans on making a option or pop up question while making the sub to have the change affect the batting order as well?

You can click the Offense tab to make an offensive substitution at the same time you are making a defensive substitution if you happen to know an offensive substitution is being made as well.
