Printing preset game position lineups

Post by Tim12fagan » Tue Apr 12, 2011 7:45 pm

Is there a way to print the preset position lineups? We would like that feature as we set the positions in advance and then post it on the dugout wall so players know where they will be in upcoming innings.

We do not currently have a way to print the preset positions. We will add it to our enhancement list and if a lot of people start asking for it, we will bump up the priority.
Check out the new iScore Baseball documentation page!

I would 2nd this request - on Android specifically - along with the ability to preset the positions prior to the game. I print a spreadsheet with the batting order and fielding positions. Column 1 is the Batting Position; Column 2 is the player; Column 3 - 8 are the fielding positions for that player for 6 innings. I hang the order on a clipboard in the dugout, It would be nice to not have to maintain a separate spreadsheet from the iScore data... and update fielding positions throughout the game.

Thanks!

after a couple of years using iscore, excel still has its uses, and one of them for me is line ups. more cut and paste and font flexibility plus better compatibility printers then i think would ever get with iscore. my2cents

I have found the print features that exist in iscore work well from my IPAD using wireless printers. Yes, Excel is a robust program, but using iscore preset position lineups saves extra entry time in duplicating effort in another program, avoids mid-game team wide substitutions (automatically occur using iscore) and can be reproduced easily from game to game.

FTM has started to add "air print" capabilities to iscore. (currently scorecard PDF is the only one i recall having air print enabled, what other print features from iscore have you run across?). sounds like 'pre positioning' fielders would be a good candidate for you for future FTM consideration.

I too would love to be able to print the preset lineup. I have to put it in a spreadsheet and post in the dugout. It would save me many hours per season. Coaching youth sports takes a ton of personal time and a print function would ease my load. IScore is an awesome tool and I would love to see it get better and better!

My guess even if you could print it out from iscore, you wpuld not abandon your spreadsheet use.. you would still use your spreadsheet to print out for dug out..inevitably The iscore print size or style will not perfectly match your needs. And if you are like me, spreadsheet is easier to cut and paste and edit for next game..

Still a nice idea to add print capability.. Just don't expect it to save much time or eliminate spreadsheet usage
