Game freeze

Post by softandbase » Sat Apr 09, 2011 5:22 pm

Has anyone experienced the game totally freezing half way through on the iPad? My girlfriend and I both experienced this today. She was in the fourth inning when it just froze you couldn't touch to exit or move. We closed out of the iscore and then reopened still stuck not allowing anything. So I closed out again and closed out of all active running programs. We took it out of it's case, put on a cool surface and closed out of all programs. After a few minutes we turned back on and it went back to the game where it left off and started working again. Then mine started to do the same thing during my game about the third inning. Mine didn't take as long as hers to come back around. I was wondering if this was an iPad issue? We were not in direct sun, actually in a shaded area and nice day not too hot. Getting worried about summer coming and this always happening. Would the otterbox be better protection from heat? We both download the latest version on Thursday and I don't think it's an iscore issue but this never happened before. Any thoughts?

Run Ipad and not experienced it .. when it overheats it gives you a "overheating notice"

try to do a "slide off" shut down before you score next, on the iPhone memory leaks happened, but not as frequent on the iPad..

This happened to me yesterday just as described by the OP. Was not an overheat issue. A quick exit from and restart of iScore brought it back to life. iPad version 3.16.162.

This happened to me today during a practice run. I have not used the score yet and now I am very nervous about trying during a game. I thought I may have a bad app. Brand new iPad 1 any way to keep it from freezing

Have not experienced a freeze, but last week I had the app "crash"--spontaneously close and return to the iPad home screen--a few times. Upon re-entering the app all was at it was left, so no loss of data, but a bit troubling--especially for the times that I'll have to let someone else score the games when I'm not avail.

Jrg, sometimes if you haven't rebooted the unit in a while there are memory leak issues with apps. If you reboot your unit the crashes generally go away.
If the crashing persists please repost with the steps/ taps used just prior to the crash.
