Enter only 1-2 player's stats after missing a game

Hi,

If I want to use IScore to keep my daughter's (and a friend's) seasonal stats and I miss a game or 2 - is there a way I can just enter their stats and maybe the final score for those games or something? There's no way I will be able to recreate the entire game if I'm not there but I should be able to find out at least what they did and the final score etc.

Thanks,

Todd

In short-

you can create fake game(s) and use manual stat override to manipulate missed/past stats. You edit a few items or as many stats as you have. Of course the scorebook and box scores will be weird, but individual and cumulative stats will reflect changes.

As this is a learning forum, here is more lengthy explanation/ ideas on ways you could can fill in missing games/stats..

A) create a fake game,
. - name it something memorable, e.g stats catch up ... Missed memorial day tournament...
. - add your team,
. - Set everyone who you have offensive stats for bat = yes, the order does not mater, but you want them in the game so you can convert zeros to values,
. - assign position for everyone you have defensive stats for, make sure your line up has all your pitchers, starters and relievers if you track stats for them
. - you may also want to create and add to your line up a fake player, if you want to manipulate scoreboard in game manager in addition to real player stats
. - create a fake team, name it something simple like fake team or catch up stats
. - add at least one fake player to opponent team (new player, name fake)
. - set home and away of you correctly if you want scoreboard in game manger to be informative.
. -done, when back at game manager, tap on game, when at game info screen, scroll down and edit note fields to remind you what this was for, change game title a
(can do this later too)

B) play game
. - start the game, play ball
. - on your defensive half inning, you want to throw a pitch for each of your pitchers, so they show up in pitcher stats, - use substitution screen to rotate in pitcher, pitch, pitcher
. - on your offensive half inning, have their fake player throw a pitch to register the half inning,
.- use misc > end inning button to end half inning,

. If you don't care about the game manager scorecard, or team wins and losses, after doing both offensive qnd defensive fake pitches end the game... use misc > end game

. - if you do want the game manager score board to show runs per inning or final game score, ...takes more work...use the fake players on your team and your opponent to hit home runs per half inning...thus creating a fake line score (when we edit stats later, it does not change game manager scoreboard, just individual stats) ..use misc end inning to get to next innings, when scoreboard looks right, use misc > end game

C) manual stat override
.- when back at the game info screen, you can scroll down to...
. -set your winning and loosing pitcher,
. - edit game start and end time
. - edit game name (aka fake game(s))
. - next for your team select batting stats
. In the stat table, you can select a value and change it.just tap on the cell value, up pops keyboard, edit away...
.- repeat cell edits for fielding and pitching depending on the level of detail you have..

.- side note, in earlier versions, innings pitched was not editable, reportedly on the fix list, may be fixed by time you do his)

. - also, If ever you hit recalc, when asked yes/no to return to iscore default values, you will choose NO to retain your manaual edits, YES if you want to go back to original (aka zero) values..

D). Other
.- the scorebook and box score will be nonsensical, the game manager line score may be of value if you took the extra steps described.
.- player card stats will now include these fake games (assmin the league they are in is enabled)

I think I covered most of it.. Enough I hope to get you going .... And for others readi. To learn too
