former players on rosters

Post by dojoboy » Mon Mar 28, 2011 7:33 am

I have a situation where I iScored all my son's high school games last year. Six players were seniors and have graduated. If I delete them from the roster, I lose their stats for last year, which I don't want to do. But in keeping them, they appear on this year's roster. I have created a new league for this season, and deselected this year in their player profile, but they are still on the current year's roster. Is there a way to do what I am trying to do without losing last year's stats?

We would suggest creating a new team for this year. Put just this year's players on the new team. All their historical stats can still be viewed on the Player Cards, but the Team Stats will be "this team", not "last year's team".

Well, part of the issue is that I already have a team website that I paid for with last year's team. And additionally, I would like for the returning players to have some continuity with last year. So there's really no way of doing this except keeping the players who have graduated on the current roster?

That is correct... if you want to use the same team website and include the players from previous years, you would need to keep building the roster. Leagues will filter the games to last year's games vs this year's games, but a Team's Roster is always considered the active roster, and is what is displayed on the website.
