Player Merge

Post by BlueClawDad » Thu Mar 24, 2011 3:42 pm

When scoring one of my games I ended up adding a player to my team Nick D. Lineups for my previous games had the boy listed as Nick D (full last name).

I though I could simply merge the two players together, but Nick D is not showing up in my player manager. Any ideas?

Did you copy the roster lineup after adding the player? If so, check your leagues and make sure "all" is checked.

What if I did not copy my roster? I don't think I did. Can I do that now?

Yes You can " copy line up-> roster" after scoring a game,
.... pitch-by-pitch editor> game starts > edit > options > copy lineup->roster

That said, that is not required to merge two players..

Set league to "all". Then go to player manager, select merge and follow on screen instruction to select the two ..., merge player on right into player on left..

Then check league assignment of resulting player, and then check team roster. If not in team roster, add him like normal

I have the league set to all, but "one" of my Nicks does not show up in the player manager. He only shows up in the roster and stats for the particular game, therefore I cannot perform a merge. Can I screw my database up if I perform a copy roster?

It sounds like you actually deleted the second Nick (deleted players would still show up in Team Lineup).

One way to fix this would be to add the still existing Nick to the lineup for that game, and anywhere you had put the old Nick in the game (as a starter or a sub), put this Nick in instead. You can then delete the "fake Nick" from the game Lineup, and all stats should be as you expect.

OK, so the only place I have the fake Nick is one game. I will do the following

Add the original Nick to the lineup of the game with the fake Nick
(I don't get what to do next) If I delete the fake Nick, I'll lose all the stats I have for him for the game

How do I get back to an existing lineup for a game?

Can you add the correct Nick to the starting lineup using Misc, show starting lineup. Then sub the correct Nick for the wrong Nick in the first pitch of the first inning then all his stats should be there.

I don't think so, because the game is over. the Misc button is not available
