welcome to the forum

first thing is to check your league assignments.. b/c the most common cause of users thinking data is lost is not having the league filters set correctly. A quick test is to go to League Manager and select the special "ALL league". now check to see if the game is in game manager, if so, scroll down to leagues and make the correct league assignments.

leagues are just a way to logically group things, and they "filter" what teams and games show up in the Team, Game and Player Managers and associated stats.

if leagues does not solve your problem, let us know .. on a few occasions something else is going on and if so we can address once leagues are ruled out.

If you can do an Options->Export in iScore, then email us at support@iscoresports.com with your customer ID (found on Options screen) and which game you want undeleted, we can take a look. If you can also include any information as to why you were deleting games, and why you may have accidentally deleted a game you did not mean to, that would be great. We have been getting more people deleting games this year than we have had in the past, and we want to understand why. The only theory we have so far is because we introduced the "scheduled game" option so it is confusing people, but we don't know that for sure. Trying to get an understanding. Thank you.

in addition to emailing FTM, who i suspect will work their magic for you..

can you also post here what device are you using?

am wondering if the increase in "unintended game deleting " is more common on a certain device ( android or iPhone or iPad)

i am pretty confident FTM will be able to recover your data if you export and email.

out of curiosity... any chance who ever was using the iPad.. slid across the trashcan icon, and inadvertently deleted the game?

Any time the trash can is pressed, a confirmation dialog appears asking people to confirm. It says:

Confirm Delete

Are you sure you want to
permanently deleted 'Game
Name Here'

Cancel OK
So it does not seem it would be easy to accidentally delete a game. In examining people's data, the people we have recovered for have usually had multiple games they deleted, whether test games, or multiple games with the same name (created once, then created again either to re-score or to change something). So it seems maybe people are not reading the text on the screen to confirm they are deleting what they think they are deleting? It is hard for us to understand how this is happening. Maybe it is just that there is such a large user base now (thank you iScore Community for spreading the word!) that it is just bound to happen.

As noted elsewhere, the next release is going to require actually typing in the word "yes" when deleting a game, so there is no way it will be an accident when that version is approved.

I recently had a game delete for which I did not receive a notification. I was scoring a live game. Between the 6th and 7th innings I exited the game and went to the game manager to schedule a game for the next day. Then I went into the Game Info page for the new game. I still had time between innings of the game I was scoring, so I selected the Play option to set the starting lineups for the scheduled game. I selected Done, and entered the scoring screen but I did not select 'Play!'. I then exited the scoring screen and then went back to the Game Manager screen to return to the live game I was scoring. That's when I noticed the game was gone. I'm absolutely positive I never deleted the game, nor was I given a warning. Fortunately, I was able to export and get it undeleted and enter the remaining scoring data from the published play-by-play. I'm trying to recreate the scenario and will post if I can.

If you are able to find steps that can reproduce a game being deleted without ever pressing the Delete button (the trash can), we would love to hear those steps. If you can email us at support@iscoresports.com with those steps if/when you find them, we will confirm and get it fixed right away. Thank you.
