I understand how to go back to the play by play after the game and edit say a hit to an error. But how do you edit on the fly while the game is going on?

I was doing my sons game with runners on first and second. There was a force out at third but I thought he was called safe. I left the runner on third who scored on my iPad but three batters later I realized he was out. I tapped on the play by play but was unable to edit anything. I had to use the Undo button back three batters while action was going on until I got to the play to correct.

I'm sure there is an easier way.

you are correct, you have to exit main scoring screen and then enter through pitch by pitch to reach editor. (on ipad you are tempted to just click on the play by play area of the screen, but it does not activate the editor).

most often when scoring live, i use undo and re score if just a prior play or two..

I tried to do this on Saturday (assigned an error to the wrong player) and was not able to go to pitch by pitch during the game. I exited the main scoring screen but the pitch by pitch was not an option at the main screen. Do you have to exit all the way and then back into the game to be able to edit? I just kept going and went in after the game to fix. I did not want to exit all the way out while I was scoring as I did not know if that would affect game time, etc.

When you exit the game play the pitch by pitch should be available at the game info screen.

It always makes me nervous exiting in the middle of a game feeling like it may not come back to the right place

It is always safe to exit a game in progress... you will always be returned to the point you left off.

I had a similar circumstance to what started this post. A double play occurred where a grounder was hit to the SS and he tagged the runner going from 2nd to 3rd and threw out the batter advancing to 1st. A bunch of commotion occurred and I did not realize the runner at third had advanced to home. A few batters later and the start of a new inning and I realized the runner had advanced but I was to far along to correct the scoring error.

I went to pitch by pitch and it let's me correct how an out was recorded but it does not let me advance the runner. I realize that if I pay attention to the wizard asking me what happened to runners this would not be a problem but mistakes happen and I should be able to edit the game while the game is occurring.

You can use the Undo button when you realize a mistake while scoring, fix it, and continue scoring. Post game, you can make edits to plays that do not change the base that runners wind up on. You can edit any stats you like post game as well.

Thank, can you tell me in post game where I go to edit the 1/2 inning I screwed upnon and simply pushed end inning so I could keep going forward wight he game.. So where do I make the post game edits? Thanks. Ron osborn

So what your saying is use the undo or I am screwed when it involves not recording a runner? That makes little sense to me.
