How do I go in and fix/edit a mistake made during the game? Example being the wrong player was entered into the game. Thanks in advance. (Using and iPad)

Was he wrong from the start? You can go back into the game, tap play at the top right, write down the last pitch result, then hit undo. Now you can hit MISC, then show starting lineup, and swap for the right player.

If you screwed up a substitution, you should edit the pitch by pitch instead and put in the correct substitution.

After a game, You can edit starting line up in pitch by pitch editor

Game manager> select game > pitch by pitch > game starts > edit starting line up....

You learn something new every day. Thanks. I din't realize you could edit there too (I usually don't have to make a change to the starters).

Can you delete a play?

I don't know what my scorekeeper did, but we had 4 outs in one inning. One player got out twice.

There is not a way to delete plays. You can only edit why things happened on a play (player reached on error vs a hit, and similar things). You can edit statistics for the game if anything is incorrect in that regard by going to Game Manager, selecting the game, selecting the item for the team and statistics you want to edit, then tapping on the value you want to modify when the team statistics appear for the game. These overrides will be included in cumualtive totals.

OK. Thanks.

I wound up "Undo"ing everything until that point and then re-entering everything.

Is there any plan to put in a delete or add plays in future editions?

We will continue working to add capabilities to our editing, but baseball has a lot of dependencies from pitch to pitch that other sports don't have. In basketball, you can add a made basket to the middle of the game, and it doesn't effect the next missed or made basket, but in baseball, if you decide to add a homerun after the fact, it could have a lot of ramifications (if there were runners on, suddenly they are driven in by this home run, and the batter after the home run suddenly no longer gets his RBIs... or what if you had scored that one of those runners was out on a double play on the next pitch, but suddenly insert a home run... now the runners can't be out because the bases were already cleared... the list goes on).

We have tried to allow standard edits like hit to error and error to hit, and we allow editing of the statistics which is 90% of what people are worried about with the edits. You can also add notes to plays to say what "really" happened.

But yes, we will continue trying to add to the things that can be edited post game.
