I will be scoring for a middle school team, actually two teams a varsity and junior varsity. There are some players who will be playing on both teams occasionally. My questions are:
1. Should I create one site under the middle school name with one big roster or two sites 1 each for varsity and jv. I dont have a problem with all stats being on one site but dont know how I can seperate the games played under that format.
2. Is it possible to devide the team into a Varsity and JV on one site to provide a record of the games as they are played.
I suspect 2 sites is the right/easiest answer but just wanted to confirm with the experts before I created both.
Thanks,
two teams one school

Re: two teams one school
Two sites is probably the right way to go, otherwise you will be seeing players from both JV + Varsity as a single list on the Roster tab for example.
That being said, if you don't mind a single long list, you can actually use "Leagues" to separate the games. You can have a League called Varsity assigned to your Team, and a League Called JV assigned to your team. A team website will give you a dropdown to choose between which League to display. This will filter just the games / statistics, so it may be a little confusing for users to select Varsity, and still see all the JV players, but if people just understand what is going on, it would technically work.

Re: two teams one school
congratulations!!
(Ok FTM beat me to the reply, but I will post this too as i had written it and it may have some additional detail)
it would be most clean to have two web site subscriptions. one for JV and one for varsity (even if you have players playing both, periodically or regularly). if cost was not an issue, i would recommend that route.
that said you could use one web site with one super team and "Leagues" to provide some workaround.
the cost tradeoffs decision would be up to you.. let me try and describe how one site would work..
for One site
Set Up
1) create at least two leagues on your handheld device, e.g. JV and Varsity in league manager.
2) create the super team on your handheld device, (team manager) , assign it to both JV and Varsity leagues
3) Add all JV and Varsity players to the "Super Team" (for example24 players)
4) purchase the Team Web site subscription for this super team
(via admin site or optionally from handheld device if iOS device)
5) Team Site - go to team Site, Settings (use admin password) enable "guest selectable" under leagues
ACTION
** For Every game you score, you assign it to either the JV league or Varsity League as appropriae
** export data after every scored game to update web site. .
Then below is how your team site will behave.
Roster - Shows all 24 players all the time. (ie both JV and/or varsity)
gives ( # Last Name First Name Notes Bats Throws Position ) .
Will not indicate if JV or varsity unless you use one of the fields for that info.
(could do that in notes on the admin web site)
Games -Shows only the games for the league you select in the upper right corner (JV or varsity)
Stats - Shows all 24 Players on the roster, but only the associated stats for the games associated for the league you select in the upper right corner (JV or varsity). Players who have not played in the selected league have zeros in the stat columns, but their name is listed (b/c they are on the roster)
that is pretty much how the work around will work .

Re: two teams one school
Thanks, leaning toward two seperate sites, it just seems cleaner. I do have the teams devided already into Red and Blue under one master league (2011 season) so would just have to do a little cosmetics to make it work. The 19.99 cost isnt going to break the bank for the additional site. I do appreciate the help from both responders, this app is fantastic and just keeps getting better.
Re: two teams one school
Two is definitely cleaner and easier if you can afford it.
One thing you could do on each site is use the, "featured sponsor", to put an image and link your school web site or to the other teams iscore site on the left menu, right under the Logoff button.
(to create a "featured sponsor", log in as admin, go to sponsor tab, upload an image, with a descriptive caption and url link... then click on 'featured', voila, puts an image and link on the left side menu directly under he Log off button).
