Editing game stats after game has ended.

Post by roland1963 » Fri Nov 26, 2010 1:43 pm

I need to know if I can edit the fielding stats for a game after it has ended. I forgot to place the fielders in correct positions so putouts/errors are attributed to wrong players.

If you go to pitch by pitch and edit the starting lineup to put the players in the proper positions, the stats will be assigned properly.

as jbeckman indicated, if the plays are scored correctly, you would not override/edit the stats, but instead you would correct substitutions / edit defensive fielding positions in pitch by pitch editor .

to be clear, you can do this after the fact for any at bat in any inning - you are not limited to just the starting line up, but the defensive line up at any point in the game can be edited to catch a missed fielding change.
