Triple play scoring out of order outs :(

I'm trying to score a triple play and it isn't quite working correctly. How should I do it? The first baseman caught a very shallow pop then ran to first to get runner on 1st with a force out and then fired the ball to second to get the runner at second with a force out. Both runners had not tagged up and left their base. The batter was the 1st out which shows correctly but then the runner on 1st was 2nd out and iscore shows him as 3rd out :( runner on 2nd was the 3rd out and iscore shows it as the 2nd out. How can I show the correct order of outs?

We do not currently have a good way to get the order of outs to show correctly on the scorecard for that particular triple play. We will think about ways to do it - possibly adding an "out order editor". The good news is stats are not effected by the order of outs, and the only place this is really even seen is on the scorecard where the out order is circled.

As much as I like iScore, the handling of double and triple plays is one of weaker aspects of the software and an area that could use improvement. FTM's stated philosophy with the software has been to 'score it like you see it'. In practice, this seems to equate more to scoring the game as to how the offense affects the game (what did the batter/runners do?) which makes sense in almost all cases. In other words, what did I see during that play? I saw a hit/out. What happened to the runner on x? Etc....

In the cases of a DP or TP, however, what we as scorers see is how the defense has affected the play (what did the fielders do to the runner?). I saw a double play/triple play. I am always wishing I had that button under the out menu. Currently, the user doesn't score it as a DP or TP until after they touch what happened to the last runner. I would consider myself a more advanced user of the software and even after scoring over 70 games with several DPs, I still don't feel comfortable I've scored a DP correctly. I still have to check the scorebook and stats afterwards even though I know the out order may be incorrect. The Quick Out DPs are great when they apply, but overall, this could use improvement.

When a DP or TP occurs, I would like to be able to touch 'Out' and then Double Play or Triple Play. The software could then ask which batter/runner was out first and then what fielders handled that out. Then I would be asked what batter/runner was out next and then what additional fielders handled that out. After all outs are accounted for, the only thing left to do would be to ask what happened to any other runners if necessary.

This is just my $0.02, but something like this would help clear up one of the few confusing aspects of the software.

Thank you for the suggestion on how the plays could be handled. We will add this to our list and see if we can incorporate it into a future version.
