if i falied to record a balk couldnt it do that anymore on editing? i noticed that the balk option is in the misc choice which means you need to press it before a pitch. on the other hand, the edit of the play by play will always have a pitch involved so i couldnt insert balk anymore. help pls

You are correct, misc balk is not available in the pitch by pitch editor, neither is misc assign error. It has been suggested before that they be put on ftm list for consideration to 'unlock' im the editor.. Ftm will have to evaluate if unlocking them without 'changing the outcome' is possible and then prioritize accordingly with all its requests

By definition, a balk does change the game because a base runner would advance a base that did not advance while scoring the game. When we start allow game changing edits, you would be able to add balk events (or additional error event) to your game.
For now, you can edit the stats post game to add a walk to a pitcher.
