Team Web Site Handling of Non Roster Player in Game Stats

In the Team Web Sites, I understand that the players shown on the "Roster" Page and the "Statistics" Pages, are defined by the most recent Team Roster in Team Manager on the handheld. This way former players, trades, or pick up players are excluded. from current team stats (I like this logic).
however, was wondering if that same filter logic should be applied to the "Stats" link on the "Game" Page? Should it not show the players who played in that game, and stats for both teams?.
As it stands now, if you click on the 'stats' link on the 'game' page, it shows stats for only current roster players for the team web site team who played in that game. Instead I would have expected when you click on 'stats' link for a specific game, for it to list the stats for all players that played in that specific game, (even if they were a single game pick up, or left the team later), thus matching information on the 'box score' and 'score card' from the same row. What are your thoughts, is it even technically possible?
secondly, when you click on the 'stats' link on the 'game' page, it shows stats for current roster players that played in that specific game, regardless of what team they played for in that game. (glitch?). Example, we had a player traded from an opponent to our team this fall. Since the player is now on our current roster, when you click on the game where we played the opponent last summer, this players now shows up in the stat table with our other roster players in that game, making it look like they all played for same team.
Lastly, why not have stat links for both teams on the ‘game’ page.. home and away or ours & their column headings? (The stats for the opponents could be static and not enable drill down if that helps reduce complexity )
thanks in advance for your review and consideration. ..
