I am about to hold the 2010 Armed Forces Men's and Women's Softball Championships. Each team will play nine games. Will I be able to maintain their stats through all nine games or will I have to print each game out and figure stats myself?

I have to each night give a copy of that days games and how each player did. Each team plays two games a day and it lasts for 5 days.

Any help on this will help. I used iScore last night for the Yankee vs Rays game and it was so easy to keep up. viewed that games stats on my e-mail, will do tonights game to see if it comes out combined, hope so.

Thanks,
John

Welcome to the board.
All stats are cumulative for both the team and the individual player. You can email the stats to yourself and print the team stats that has the individual stats also. Are you keeping score of all games on one device?
You may want to use leagues to separate stats daily. I.E. the 2 games on day 4. With this you can print day 4 stats as well as cumulative stats. I have a link below to help with understanding leagues, OhioTex has authored some good how to's.

welcome to iscore and the community.

iscore will definatley handle multiple games multiple teams well.

I am glad you found your first game fairly easy to score ... I encourage you to both practice on another live game and to view all the video tutorials you can on the training page http://iscore.fasterthanmonkeys.com/training.jsp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (all are good). there is a learning curve, and pratcice does help improve the confidence and lower the anxiety on those inevitable odd plays. Use notes liberally. Also realize softball will throw you a few curve balls, but go in knowing, many softballers use the program too and it will cover most of your bases.

just curious at what level is this armed forces competition? very high level or junior, very friendly or deeply serious for bragging rights or somewhere down the impressive food chain?

are you using an ipad or an iphone/itouch - ?

how many teams involved? If not too large a number (b/c of cost not functionality) you may want to consider a team web site for each team (cost 20$/team). It makes updateing and distributiing so much easier and gives teams remote vieweing, sorting and drill down capabilities.

also, Are you scoreing them all yourself, (definately helps on considtency and learning curve)..

Next year, FTM has mentioned plans have an advanced web site version, called leagues/tourney, which would be nice application for your needs next year.

OhioTex, now that is a play on words.

The Armed Forces Softball Championships consist of one team from each service. Players send in a resume to the heads of sports for each service. They hold a three week training camp and then they meet for one week to play 9 games each. We are hosting both the men and women, this is our third year and next year will be our last. Another service will get to host it according to their rotations..
