Pitch by Pitch - can't assign error to correct player

This problem was originally posted in the Issue Reporting forum, but I have now verified that it only seems to be happening in the iPad version, so I am reposting the issue to this forum.
I had scored a hit which was decided after the game to have been an error. So, I went into the pitch-by-pitch, found the play, tapped edit and chose "Error", then when asked which position caused the error, I tapped the left fielder. When the play redisplayed, the error had been assigned to another player. No matter who I try to assign the error to, it is always assigned to the same player.
Originally, I thought the problem might have been related to a large number of substitutions during the game, but I have since created a test game, entered a single as the first play, then edited the play in the Pitch by Pitch screen to change it to an error, and it still won't assign the error to the correct player. As soon as I finish entering the edit, the resulting entry in the Pitch by Pitch listing shows the wrong player.
Can someone try this and report back your results so we can determine if it is a general bug or possibly just a problem in my database?
