Editing in Pitch by Pitch

In the iPad version I am encountering problem with edit in Pitch by Pitch. I am not trying to change the outcome of the play, but the people involved. I recorded a Kd and the out to the catcher. For some reason it is giving the out to another player that is not assigned that position and never has been. I tried to edit to no avail, please help.

Go to the pitch just before the play, click the Edit button next to Substitutes, and put in the player that should be credit with the play. You can also look on the Scorecard to see who is in which positions during which innings.

This sounds very similar to an issue I just posted in the issue reporting forum regarding changing a hit to an error. I don't believe the suggestion from FTM would help in my case, because no matter which position I choose to assign the error, the error is assigned to the same player. I will be watching this thread too to see if we can get to the bottom of this.

I tried your suggestion, it did not work. The player that is getting the credit for the out was not even in the game and the catcher is the only one we have so, there is never a substitution in that position. Just something you might look at again. Thanks.

If you can export your database and email us your customer ID and which game and play you are having the issue with, we can take a look at your data. Thank you.

One tip.. sometimes (not always) after you make an edit in pitch by pitch the stats need to be forced to update..
If after a pitch by pitch edit and the edit looks like it takes in pitch by pitch, ie the text words match your expectations (go back and double check) but the stats are not correct.. try forcing the stats to recalculate..
you do this by going to your game, and hitting play until you get the game over screen again and then hit exit. this is the stage that stats are forcibly recalculated. if it is in pitch by pitch, should be reflected in stats after that...

FTM - will export and email
OhioTex - after the edit, the text does not match my expectation - no matter which player I assign the error to, the wrong player's name appears in the text.
A simple test would be:
- create a new game and start it
- tap "in play"
- tap "hit single"
- assign hit type and location
- safe, first, held up
- exit scoring screen
- go into pitch-by-pitch
- select the play
- edit
- error
- hit type and location
- tap fielder who made error
when the text displays for that play, the wrong player is shown as being charged with the error
the exact same steps work fine on my iPhone
looking forward to the result of analysis by FTM

We have identified the issue and will have it fixed for the next release. We can assign the error correctly for you now if you email us who the error should be assigned to. Thank you.

I have exported the data and sent my customer ID to tech support. I also believe I have given to all the info required to change the player. Thanks for everything!
