Greetings... this may fall under the category of "enhancement request," "User Error" or "ignorance of rules."
A coach reviewed my stats and commented that our pitchers ERA's would be lower if the calculation used 7 innings per game, rather than 9, since all of our league games are 7 innings.
Part of me says, "OK... nice feature to ask for." while another part of me says, "Don't worry about making the ERA's look lower, just use the reported numbers as a tool."
So... Is this a feature? Can I adjust the ERA Calculation to 7 innings? Would I want to? Thoughts and opinions welcome, along with "official" feature status comments from FTM or iScore.
Thanks.
Adjustable ERA Calculation on gamesless than 9 innings?
Re: Adjustable ERA Calculation on gamesless than 9 innings?
The ERG calculation that is on the exported stats is what you want to use in place of ERA. It is calculated based on the game length you set instead of 9 innings.
Re: Adjustable ERA Calculation on gamesless than 9 innings?
Rememeber for ERG to be calculated on 7 innings, you must set the option in the game settings to 7 innings. You can set this option anytime, even after a game is scored if you did not know the option existed or forgot to do it. So you can tell your coach, he gets both.. a 9 inning classic ERA calculation, and a 7 inning ERG calculation so he can compare and contrast at will

Perfect. I did set the game length to 7 at season onset, so we're all good, and iScore once again anticipated my need! Great app!
