Changing a play after another play or two has occurred

Post by Kartz » Mon May 31, 2010 2:32 pm

We keep score at our local minor league games for fun. We don't have an electronic scoreboard. Occasionally a tricky play will occur, usually involving an error, and we're not always sure how the official scorer called the play. There is always a delay before the scoreboard is changed to indicate an error. By this time we may have gone through one or two at bats. How can we go back one or two or more at bats to correct the scoring? Undo is not a good way because too much may have occurred to re-enter.

We are aware that we can change the play if we leave the game and go into the pitch by pitch feature. We can't do this on the fly and we don't want to wait until the game is over.

Are we missing something or is it really not possible the change a play after it's entered other than with the undo button? If it's not possible, can it be changed in some future release?

Undo and editing from the Pitch by Pitch are the only two ways to make changes. We may add a way to get to the Pitch by Pitch editing from the scoring screen directly in the future, but right now it is only a couple clicks... click Exit, Yes, Pitch by Pitch and you are there. Getting back into the game is just Back, Play and you are right back where you are. You can wait until between inning to do the update, or make a note and do it after the game.
