LFer throws to 2b before runner returns to bag

I can't remember exactly how I entered it, but I was confused at the time.

I've tried it 2 ways so I will show both. If DP is used I'm not sure if a PO is given to the middle infielder who caught the throw from the CF. I like the DP shown on the scorecard.

I used your second method, but the scorebook showed something that had me concerned. I don't have my touch handy, but it was something like FO2. Since it didn't show FO7-4 (or something 7-4) I was wondering if the put out and assist were awarded properly.

The FO2 refers to the force out occurring during the 2nd batters at bat, it will not show 7-4. I think it shows up in the play by play in iScorecast.

Out -> First -> Tagged Out -> 7-4

"Technically" it is not a force out (the runner was not forced to vacate their base.) If anything it is a "LBE" Left-base-early, but since that option does not give you the option of selecting the players involved, tagged out is the next best choice.
As stated, the DP will not credit the the infielder with a PO or the outfielder with the A.

FWIW, I score this a little differently and it seems to give both the DP listing and the credit for the putout.

The scorecard shows DP7-4 for the batter. 7 gets a PO and an A. 4 gets a PO.

Petro, we have a winner, I like that scoring and how it appears on the card. The only change I would consider is 7-7-4 to indicate the first out, but is could be assumed by just the 7-4. Stats work out either way.

Thanks for the tip. Never considered recording the fly ball as 7-4 - didn't seem right, but everything looks the way it should on the score book and in the stats: each player gets the DP credit, 2 POs, 1 A - everyone is happy!
