Correcting a lineup after a game has been completed

I have numberous games saved. On some of them, I could not read the players names from the managers line up card so I just put in their jersey number into iScore. On some, I could only read their first name. I have now have all the correct information and I have tried to update the rosters, but every time I do, the information is not saved. It just reverts back to the original data I put in before the game was played. In addition, when I played one of these teams a second time, and I tried to put the full names onto the roster that was saved for this team that had just the jersey numbers, I was unable to make the change.
Please help.
Sam

Are you correcting the roster at the team manager or game manager? I think it should work if you make the changes at the team manager but make sure you hit save at the team screen before you back out to the main menu.
Welcome to the board

I tried both at the game level first and then at the team level. I do not remember if I hit save or not but I tried it just now and hit save and it still didn't save the data. I tried it for only one player on one team.
FYI - I absolutle love this program!

If you are correcting the names at the Game level, use the "Options" button before starting the game and tap "Update Roster from Lineup"
You can make changes to Lineups without changing the Roster.

I tried to update the team roster and it worked.
team manager
team
roster
player x
input name and number
done
team
save
I started a new game using that team and the updated names are there. I am not sure how to force the new roster changes to the old games if that is your request.
Keep posting as you try this and either the board or FTM will get it worked out.

My first question was to try to force roster changes to old games so if that can't be done, then so be it. But it would be a great upgrade for future releases in my opinion for the reason I stated earlier - When I cant read a roster, I just put in the numbers and get the actual data after the game.
I followed your steps as outlined above. It didn't work. I tried to do a new game and the old roster came up without any of the changes I made.

The way to edit name/numbers of previously scored games is done game by game through the pitch by pitch editor. It is easy to do, just tedious.
Steps.....
Game Manager > Select Game >
Select Pitch by Pitch > Select Game Starts event > Select 'Edit' Starting Line up ....
Choose Home/Visitor as appropriate..
Now go Player by Player, Select > make your edits > done .. repeat
once done Save/Back etc.
Remember,
when finished, you will want to re EXPORT your data to server to update your admin site (and Team Web site if you have one) with updated information.
if you want the scorebooks and stats to reflect the new information, -- re email them yourself.
Also Also if you use iscorecast, will need to re synch each game , to update the iscorecast server

perhaps i should clarify..
once a game is scored, the line up becomes 'independent' of "Team Manager Roster, (one reason they do this, is teams rosters evolve over time, this way you can add a pick up player for a game or drop a player who leaves the team from the roster but have remain in the specific game). the only time a game line up is the same as a team roster, is when you first set up the game, it copies from the roster at that point in time. and creates an independent line up specific for that game....
If you are wanting to have your opponents roster updated with the new information, on both game records and the team manager roster, then you will need to enter the info both places, in each Game you want to change, (see my prior post) and then in each team you want to change, through Team Manager. That is by design. once changed (and saved) in team manager, next time you create a new game with that team, it will pull from the current team roster to give you a starting line up ...
there is one more small caveat I shoudl add.., when editing a line up in game manager pitch by picth as described in prior post, if you click the option icon bottom right, you will see a choice to "update roster from line up". this should make your team roster now look like your line up,.. (but as posted elsewhere, that function potentially has a bug in it, so for now best to enter both places , game by game and in team manager.
hope this helps.. keep us posted.
