Sequence of outs in tag-out double play

Hi,

I just got this today; it's a great program.

I was watching yesterday's (May 18) Cubs-Rockies game. In the fourth, with Brad Hawpe at first, Troy Tulowitzki hit into a 4-3 double play. However, Hawpe was tagged as he passed the second baseman (not by a force at second).

If I score this a double play, the scoresheet shows Hawpe as being forced out. If I score it as a tag out, the sequence of outs is wrong—it shows Tulowitzki being the first out of the inning and Hawpe being the second.

How should I score this both to show a tag out for Hawpe and the correct sequence of outs for the inning?

In doing some research (those with the MLB rules can quote the specific)

NCAA rule 12.8.3
If the runner put out is the batter-runner at first base, or any other runner forced to advance because the batter became a batter-runner, this is a force out.

Even though the runner was tagged, he was forced to advance thus the scoring is correct with the FO.

Correct. Tag out is only applicable for a non-force out, regardless of how the runner gets out. Another good example would be batter hits a short grounder up the 1st base line, 1st baseman charges it and tags out the batter-runner. This is an unassisted force out by the first baseman.
