Now that we can transfer data, I want to keep my iPhone handy for a backup in case my iPod goes dead. Do I need to create another admin site for the iPhone program? I think I would only need to transfer the current league teams to the iPhone, and if needed, just transfer game data back to iPod touch.

Each device gets its own Admin Website. The admin websites are tied to the Customer ID of each device. You can use the Data Transfer through the Admin Websites, or you can use Bluetooth to transfer between the devices in which case you would not need the Admin Website.
