How do I get the winning and losing pitchers to appear in the boxscore?

There are too many rules involved in determining a winning/losing pitcher to be able to do it automatically. Those rules vary from league to league. Therefore, we have made it so you manually select the Winning / Losing pitcher. To do this, go to Game Manager, select the game, and from the Game Info screen, there are rows to select the winning and losing pitcher.

Here is a thread with more info on why we do not do it automatically:

reminder: W/L/S pitcher can be manually assigned at any time after the game. does not have to be real time. if a game ends naturally (e.g.,end of 9 innings) i think you are prompted to enter them. if it ends unnaturally (misc end game). you have to remember to go back to game manager, scroll down and manually enter. The entry screen will show you your pitcher choices to choose from.

also agree with FTM , easy enough for scorer to make assignment (if they rememebr), easier than trying to code all the rules, and then deal with all the exceptions. much higher priority tings for developer time to work on..

OhioTex,

I had heard that you would be prompted for winning/losing pitchers, but I've never had that happen. I just tested a sample game, and after the last out, the screen just turns to "Game Over."
It seems like this would be the perfect time for a "finalize" screen where pitchers could be credited and other bookkeeping could be entered (weather, etc)

We'll see in the next version.

By the way FTM.... AWESOME PROGRAM!! I just love how well this works, and I find my self coming to the forum 3-4x a day to see what's up. You're ruining my life!! ;-)

We do not currently prompt, but it is something we have on our enhancement list for a future release. Thank you.
