Hey guys,
I had been in basketball mode all winter but now that the rain has finally left New England and my high school team opens the new season Wednesday I am thinking ISCORE again. How do you start all over and get rid of all data from last year? Is there a way to purge the system and start over?
Thanks
Bob

If you truly want to start over, the easiest way is just to remove the application from the device and reinstall it. Hold your finger on the icon until the icons all start shaking, click the "X" to delete it (Apple asks if you want to Rate the app, and you of course say yes and give it 5 stars), then go to the App Store and download it again. When you click purchase, it will recognize that you have already purchased it and ask if you want to download again for free.
A lot of enhancements have been put in since last season though. For example, we have "League" functionality which allows you to easily hide all of last year's games (but still keep them on the device) by simply creating a new league (like "2009 Season"), and just assign the old games/teams to that league, and create a new league (like "2010 Season") and only enable that one.
If you would rather just start clean, you can still do that however.
Welcome back.

Welcome Back Coach bob to the real BBall....
as I suspect there are others who may be dusting off iScore for spring.. and returning after a long winter break. I thought i would remind folks of some of the hidden user interface tricks that FTM has added since last summer/fall and recap some of the most notable new features they have added (current version is 2.41.67)
(this was off the top of my head, so any omissions is purely accidental.)
New (or often forgotten) User interface tips..
* shake to cancel - when in the middle of entering a play and you do not see a cancel button, you can now shake the iPhone and be prompted to cancel out
* notes/scoreboard/tweet - swipe the area on top of main screen below the home away score and above the field to cycle to twitter and notes screens – you can add freeform note to any play
* touch/flick quick entry.. on Ball for intentional ball, on strike for strike swinging, on out for common out plays
New Functionality
* Team Websites (extra subscription $ by team, but simple and clean, and very nice. Very helpful for those that need a simple web to archive/display games and stats with one click (export) synchronization)
* Play-by-Play (on admin and team web sites not iPhone), a new recap of the game, less detailed than pitch-by-pitch but more detailed than the score card. you can also cut and paste and send to folks by email too
* Newspaper style box scores - (team and admin web sites, not on iPhone) - newspaper style box scores can be found for each game exported to admin site (free site) or team site (paid subscription). you can cut and paste and send to others
* hitter spray charts on player cards (now filtered by league too)
* pitch-by-pitch editing (continues to evolve on what can and can not be edited)
* can change admin website password from iPhone..(program opening screen, options. Admin web site)
* minor bug fixes and other neat things i am sure, just off top of my head what i recall
New Game option toggles
* enable /disable sounds (ball, strike, foul...)
* yes/no choose to enter pitch location first
* catcher/pitcher - perspective for entering pitch location

I would like to add to this thread. I do use the league feature extensively (tournaments, leagues, etc...) but the biggest reason why I would want to "start over" is because the exporting and importing can take longer and longer as you increase the size of your database. In some cases, I've seen it fail to update.
A couple of features I would like to see are:
1) Archive (this is seperate from the export). Basically, some way of exporting the database and save a local copy (or perhaps in your cloud db). With an ability to restore (but not overwrite) similar to how the Get Data from other device works today.
2) Reset - Basically accomplishing what you've described in this thread but without having to delete and redownload the app.
Love this application btw!
Thanks!
Brian
