I'm still learning iscore and created a team in iscorebaseball. I deleted the team in iscorebaseball, and created another team with the same name. But when I go to the iscorecentral app, and search for the team, and the team I deleted is still there? Do teams not get removed from the app? I've checked my.iscorecentral and the team isn't there on my list, and I've also optimized. The team is definately gone form my end, but if anyone searches the team name, the one I deleted is still there.

You have to delete the iscorecast separately. Easier to do from device from game screen, but once you delete the game, the iscorecast can still be deleted from your admin website. Go to Games, then click on scorecasts, then delete.

Everything is deleted on games, team, and iscorecast. But if you open iscorecentral and search for the team, the team name that I created and deleted everything from is still there.

Lets look into this a bit further ...

In score central there are multiple places you can 'search' .. Let's confirm where you are finding this 'ghost trace' for a team that has been deleted from device ... And see what problens it is causeing...

In central viewer app, There are three "page areas", 1."games" 2."teams" and 3."settings/other". (Select area from 'hamburger menu' aka the three bar icon, upper left)

Are you finding the 'ghost trace' team under "games > search" or Teams > find "?

Under 'games' are sub choices
Favorites | search | schedule | near me

I doubt it shows up under " Games>search"
But please confirm back

Under 'teams' are sub pages
favorities| find a team

I suspect "teams > Find> is where you are finding the 'ghost trace' team ...
But Please confirm back

Next step
tap on your found team .. What selection choices appear if any?

If 'games' is a choice, tap on it .. And Confirm back if any games accesible or not .. I suspect .. No games ..

If you confirm back as i suspect , 'ghost trace' not found under "Games>search" but found under "Teams>Find" and then No games associated w team .. I would next ask . What is the harm if any (beyond annoying and curiosity).

I have seen this behavior before, but not sure exsctly why (expect a server side search index) and not able to fix from user end ...but also, in my experience no harm , not worth getting support involved to 'purge'.

That said, if there is a compeling reason (other than just 'annoying' ) you need the 'ghost trace' purged .. Reply back and we can look into how..


Lastly , please reply back if different than expected above ... Will investigate and troubleshoot some more

The central app is harder to trouble shoot user issues as it is mostly techical server side items..

I'm finding the team when I go to then "team" section of the aoo and then search for the team I deleted. Its not really a big deal, I just think it would be easier to create the team without people searching for it and then adding the wrong one to their favorites.

Ok, as i expected..

Hopefully over time, The developers will look in to how to eliminate the 'ghost trace' in the future but in the short term, not a big issue

When you have active games, people can find them most easily by search in the games section


Idea: if you add a team logo on my.iscorecentral.com your active team will 'stand out' a bit more in the Team > Find search results,

The iScore Central app keeps a record of all teams that have used iScorecast so they are searchable. When you select the team, no games should appear however if you have deleted the iScorecasts.

Update. Support has clarified, at this time, wven if you sent them an email . they can't remove a team even if you ask.
