a new pitcher comes in but scorekeeper fails to make substitution until next inning. If you go back in play by play to make the correction the pitch count doesnt reset. New pitches continue to be added to previous pitcher. Is there a way to correct this?

If you view the stats for the game, the pitch counts will be correct. It is just the in-game display that is incorrect if you edit the play by play to make the substitution. The actual game stats will will still be correct.
