The three major Android tablets are all very similar (Samsung, Google Nexus, and Fire). The Fire does have a few quirks because Amazon decided to not do a plain vanilla install of the OS which can cause oddities, but they work pretty well. If you get the 10" tablets, the layout is very much like the iPad. The 7 and 8" tablets will be a layout that is "between" the phone and large tablets depending on the device capabilities.

Most first time iscore users really like the "tablet" layout ver the phone layout. Seriously consider the 10" over 7".. If going android route.

iPad and iPad mini both use tablet layout... And get great user reviews on iscore information on a page..

first time users: iPad (and I'm currently using iPad Air 2 -- I like portrait orientation, displaying score card rather than play-by-play on the right side (click the arrow).

I've also used iPad Mini (fantastic with Retina Display). With both iPads, I can typically get three 7-inning games out of the battery while broadcastings the games via LTE.

the iPhone version is also terrific, but I agree that it's probably better for advanced / experienced users who don't need the detail of the tablet display
