Courtesy runner
Courtesy runner
With 2 outs, the catcher got a hit. Youth rules allows the catcher the be substituted when there are two outs. I used the courtesy runner feature to sub in a runner for the catcher. However, the stats gives credit to the courtesy runner and the catcher. In s punch runner situation the new runner should the credit. But shouldn't the catcher get the credit for the steal, run scored, etc?

Re: Courtesy runner
The courtesy runner gets the credit for the base running (he did it). The catcher gets the credit for the base hit (he did that).
To show the original player as being credited with a steal, run scored, etc would be giving him stats he did not earn and incorrectly reflect his contribution.
