the reason sounds weird on the surface, but is more a product of history and baseball.. i will try and elaborate as a long time user/observer of iscore..
in baseball scorekepping, more than other sports, there seems to be more interdependencies between plays. changing one thing impacts others. when the developers first released iscore, they did not have any "editor" and had technical challenges to isolate interdependent "game changing" activities from "non game changing activities" to allow editing. over time with updates to the program, they have started to peel the onion back letting the user edit more and more types of activities as they figure out what can be edited and not without messing up other events. It may be simple to us, but the underlying computer code must get a bit hairy. so FTM has taken the approach to refine editor over time, vs jeopardize integrity of scored games.
bottom line.. there are times in the editor you have "grayed out options" like double to single and error. over time FTM seems to be reducing those restrictions.
hope that adds some context to why not allowed yet..
how do you edit hits/errors after u have ended the game?
Re: how do you edit hits/errors after u have ended the game?
Similar situation but trying to change hit to fielders choice - batter out. Batter bunts but is thrown out on fielders choice. I inadvertently scored a hit and only way I could find to correct was then show the him out after reaching first. This credited him with a hit he did not deserve. When I go to play by play it wont allow me to change safe to an out on fielders choice. Pre season game and no big deal but would like to know how to correct this in the futre. (I know dont do it in the future!!!!)
Great app.

Coach,
Safe to out is a game changing event that is not editable at this time. You can change the players stats but you can't change the play in the game.

It sounds like you were able to enter him as out after reaching first, so you can change the hit to being safe on the fielders choice and leave the out on the event right after the hit as it currently is. This will fix his batting average.
