I just returned from Cooperstown All Star Village and I kept score with iScore while coaching first base each game. No one had an issue with it, in fact, every game, the umpires came up and wanted to see the app.

As the previous poster mentioned, you have to fill out paperwork at the end of the game for your statistics. iScore made filling out that paperwork very easy!!!!

Have fun in Cooperstown!

Thank you everyone for all of the replies. I just didn't want to get up there and have an issue. I have had a couple local coaches complain that we weren't keeping an actual book. Probably just because they don't understand. Our team will be going up from July 16 - July 22. Once again, I appreciate all of the replies and I now feel more comfortable using just the app during the game.

I have seen different governing bodies (baseball and softball) include in their formal rules ... that a coach can have a scorebook (overtly stated to be paper or electronic) on the field while in coaches box or dug out but can not have a communication device (no pager, cell phone etc)..

hence i can see the logic in requesting the disabling of wifi or putting your device in AirPlane mode to counter the concern that the scorebook can double as a communication device.

If that's the only requirement, I can certainly live with that.
