Calculating ERA

Post by RTJ » Wed May 19, 2010 10:10 am

I know that a pitcher’s ERA for baseball is (Earned Runs/Innings Pitched) x 9. Since I use iScore for softball, if I change the Innings to 7 (under Options/ Game Settings) before the game begins, will it calculate the pitcher’s ERA for softball (Earned Runs/Innings Pitched) x 7?

There is a stat called ERG that we use for that purpose. It is exactly like the ERA calculation, but based on the number of innings you have set in your games.
