How to record bunt single

Post by jplevine » Fri May 14, 2010 4:43 am

I searched for this through the site, so I apologize if this is discussed elsewhere. I am trying to score a bunt single. I originally scored it as a bunt and the player reaching 1st base safely, but the player does not get credited with a hit. He also didn't get credited with a reaching on an error or on a fielder's choice - kind of peculiar. If I change to a soft ground ball single, it does not reflect as a bunt. Is there a way to show this both as a bunt and a hit?

I did this in a test game and found that in the stats he got a 1b. The scorecard shows a bunt but the stats seem to work for the single.

in play
bunt
location, next
held up

That is what I thought I had done, but it was not crediting the player with a hit. I went back to change from a soft single to a bunt as you said and it now shows up as a hit. Thanks for the help.
