Unfortunately I cannot do this. To limit the load on FTM's servers they've asked me to set the refresh interval to a predetermined amount...

Glad you are enjoying the app.....

Has anyone else noticed a battery drain issue with this app?? After adding this app to my iPhone, I have noticed that the battery has been draining a lot quicker than before. It's the only new app I've added recently and haven't changed any other battery hogging setting recently (location services, 3G, etc.). I just deleted the app and am testing to see if the battery drain stops. I'll let you know, but wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue. I've got the iPhone 3Gs and the lastest firmware. Thanks.

An internet connection is required to use this app as we need to talk to the iscorecast servers to get the info obviously... To get updates as the game progresses we ping the iscorecast servers every 30secs...

Just like any other app that uses your network including the builtin browser you'll see higher battery usage no doubt about it... Not sure what else to tell you except not too much I can do about this without upping the refresh interval or modifying/optimizing the data retrieval (not my data or server so that's out of the question)...

Nationals,
Are you indicating that you believe you have a battery drain even when the app is off or just when the app is running?

The last few times I have tried to load this app on my iphone, it opens and crashes. I got it loaded on my wife's iphone several months ago, and hers works fine. Is there something wrong with the current download? or is it my iphone? Thanks in advance.

You would have to ask the developer of the application. He may respond in this forum, but you can check for his contact information in the application.

You can always use the updated iScorecast viewer on your iPhone as well. If you visit http://iscorecast.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; on your iPhone and enter your customer ID, you can view any iScorecasts right on the phone.
