Is There A Way To Score a Forfeit?
Is There A Way To Score a Forfeit?
After a game was finished, upon turning in pitching cards, the winning team had to forfeit due to pitching an ineligible pitcher. Is there a way to score that?
Re: Is There A Way To Score a Forfeit?
i have not seen a discusion on that before. no special key / button iniscore to register a "forfeit". You can write a note on the game info screen. .
I guess the question comes next in how does your league treat a forfeit?, do they include stats? or do you deleate the game. do they take the score at a point in time, or do they assign a score 7-0. You can create a 7 -0 game pretty quickly if you need that in game manager.

iScore is really intended to score a game - with a forfeit, there is no game to score. You can certainly just go into the game, put one dummy player in the lineup for each team (so you can start the game), put in a homerun for the team that gets the win, and use End Game, and enter a note saying "Won by Forfeit".

Depending on the league, I believe that the official score for a forfeit game is 7-0.
"NFHS Rule 4.3.2: Score of a forfeited game is 7-0 unless the game is forfeited after the number of innings required for a regulation game and the offending team is behind. Then the score remains as recorded. If the offending team is leading, the score shall be 7-0; otherwise, the score shall be the score at the time of the forfeit if the team ahead at the time of the forfeit is not the offending team. All individual and team average shall be included int he official records, except that no pitcher shall be credited with a victory or charged with a loss in such a game if it is not a regulation game (4-2)."
Regulation game means played 4 full innings (3.5 if the home team is ahead) in a 6 inning game, or 5 innings (4.5 if the home team is ahead) in a 7 inning game.
