Mercy Rule...Who Gets The Win?

Post by cpinserra » Fri Mar 26, 2010 7:02 pm

Our games are scheduled for 7 innings, but we won our first game during the bottom of the 5th inning when we made the score 12-2. This is our mercy rule (leading by 10 or more after 5 innings). I chose the "end the game" option once we scored the 12th run, but none of the pitchers have been credited with a win or loss. How does this work?

iScore does not automatically assign Winning/Losing pitchers... there are too many league specific rules on what is required for a Win / Loss / Save. To assign the winning / losing pitchers, go to Game Manager, select the Game, and scroll down the page on the Game Info screen. There is a place to select the Winning / Losing / Save pitcher there.

to elaborate a bit more... when a game ends normally (third out, home team, last inning) you will get asked to assign winning /loosing pitchers. If you end prematurely (misc, game over). you will not get prompted for winning loosing pitcher, but you can always go to a game info screen, scroll down and make those assignments manually. iscore has you covered.
