new league/season - use the same team - reset stats (resolved)
new league/season - use the same team - reset stats (resolved)
I want to create a new league and use the same teams but want to reset the stats? How do i do that?
Re: new league
No problem.
Assuming you want to save already scored games for history (my recommendation) and do not want to delete already scored games (my recommendation is to not delete anything).
Here is a Quick answer:
1. create a new league
2. assign the teams and players to new league
3. turn off all but that new league
4 done.
score new games with only new league active and you will build team and player stats
if you want more context and Longer explanation ...
That is exactly what leagues are for, Leagues are a easy way to 'group' any games you want and then only show stats for those games/teams/players in that league/group.
Many folks use leagues to separate different seasons in a year - example they create leagues for pre season2016, regular season2016, post season2016 Or create leagues to separate years with mlb2016 and mlb 2017 for example. Leagues can also be combined to sub group teams like american league and national league that persist across years.
all you need to do is create a new league in league manager, and then assign all the teams you want In this new league. The program will also ask if you want to assign the active players from the team to the new league, saying yes will save you time from manually assigning each player to new league. ( by the way, no teams, players, games or stats get removed in this process)
When you "Turn off" all other leagues in league manager except your new league . you are good to go.
With only the new league active, you will not yet have any games under game manager. And only teams assigned to the new league under team manager and they will not have any stats until you play games in this league. Likewise for players under player manager.
With this new league active, you can still create sub groups (aka leagues) if needed. example, American and national league or any other groupings you like, say pre season, regular season or playoffs. By mixing and matching what leagues are active you can filter game/ team / player stats to your hearts desire. there leagues are not restricted to a 1:1 relations ship and there is no limit on the number of leagues.
Remember, All games and associated teams and player stats from prior seasons/leagues are still on your device just 'filtered' and can be 'shown' at anytime by simply enabling "All LEAGUE" in league manager.
This works for strato games as well as regular games
