Updating iScore stats after posted to league standings (answered, see SiPlay, for League Standings)

Post by Neptune Beach Pearl » Thu Aug 20, 2015 1:49 pm

After a complete baseball game was scored and posted, it was determined that in the 2nd inning a pitch scored as a wild pitch was actually a passed ball. The difference in scoring this one pitch as a wild pitch, instead as a passed ball is also the difference between an earned and unearned run.

In speaking with the team's scoring administrator they have stated that the only way to correct this error is to change the pitch from wold pitch to passed ball, but to change the construction of the game from the point forward to the completion of the entire game. A lot of work!

However in reading the iScore manual, it appears that that scorecard can be changed in the "pitch by pitch" edit, which would not include re-scoring the game from that point forward until the conclusion of the game.

I do believe the team's scoring administrator is being forthright in their assessment, and that the problem may indeed lie in not editing the game pitch by pitch, but when uploading or reposting the game to the league standings and statistics page.

Should not t though the League standing and statistical page be automatically updated when the revised team scorebook is uploaded to the league page? Please help if you can, thank!

The edit should be made in the pitch by pitch on the scorekeeper's device. The scorekeeper should then do an Options -> Export. If you are using an iScore League Website (Beta), then after the scorekeeper does the export, then League Admin should log in to the League Admin site, go to Devices, select the device that scored the game, then select Reprocess next to the game in question.

How do we view standings if we created a league of 16 teams?

@ Danimal - Welcome to the forum !

League Standings (subject of this thread) is not part of the commercial iScore Baseball app (android or iOS) nor part of the optional Team Web site subscription ($20/yr).

League standings was a feature of the proposed "iScore League Website (Beta)" , that subscription product went to beta but never went to full market.

The iScoreBaseball app available from the app store is designed to score a team ( as many teams as you like) and reports extensive stats for each game scored, its teams and players but not "league leaders" across teams in a League or tournament fashion.

For league management, our parent company (Sports Illustrated Play) has a great solution. They can be contacted at sales@siplay.com.

thank you for your prompt response. I play a board game called Strat-O-Matic baseball which I'm sure you've heard of so I doubt sports illustrated play could help me there but will continue to use iscore, i love it!
