Merged players and lost data

Post by $tinky » Fri Mar 25, 2016 8:35 am

I'm afraid I screwed up big time.

I was trying to clean up iscore. I was merging players and we have a player on our team that used to play against us. His name was in the database twice so I merged his name into one.

Now when I pull up our stats as a team he's no longer there. When I pull up player stats I only have the few games where we played against him.

Is there anyway to get all of his stats back?

Help

All is not lost ... Merge should not 'erase' just merge. I am betting we have a league filter issue.

FILTER
Turn on ALL LEAGUE ( league manager > all)...to troubleshoot
Now go to player manager . Select the player and see if All the games you expect are there

Now go to your team roster (team manager > team> roster) and add him to roster ( by add player selecting not type in new)

If this has not solved for you ... Next step go to a game you expected him to be in ( game manager > select game) and 'study this game and report back ... Is he in the line up? Is the line up as expected or 'short' a player ..

Lastly ,so you know Just in case , Think about ,
When was the last time you did an export (Date) ? when was the last game you scored (date)? Would you be willing to 'roll back' to a prior export (date)?

As a user you can retrieve (aka import) only the last export . However support ( through email and a couple days ) can roll back a few (3 I think) exports to a prior date .. Of course loose all games or changes since then ..

Thanks for this reply-

After following your advice turning "all" league on didn't help. It was already on. When I go back to games he was supposed to be in he's not in the individual game stats but he is in the play by play, and on the scorecard as well.

I emailed support but have yet to hear back. I think reverting back to a previous export would be the solution bc I would not lose any games, I'd only lose my failed attempt at cleaning up duplicate players etc.

If not too faded in memory, In a game he was suppose to be in go into game manager > select game > play by play editor and in the game starts row. Check starting line up.. Do you have the right ( and enough ) batters? You can add a player here and slot them in the correct batting line up ..

The computer internally stores the action by batting position . You can move the "human readable" names around.
