Shows 10 players on defense
Shows 10 players on defense
After I enter my 2 teams, adjust the options to play 7 inning, 9 fielders and such, and then create the game, I'm having a problem when after I hit the "Play" button, view rosters and then hit the "Done" button. Sometimes it will show 10 fielders instead of the 9 that I set up in "Options". It shows a fielder in right-center field with a "?" on the position. Why does this happen and what can I do about it?
Re: Shows 10 players on defense
Is that fielder listed at the position "OF" by chance? I have guys on the rosters that are "OF" and when setting upa lineup I need to make sure they get set to "OUT" before hitting "Play".
Re: Shows 10 players on defense
I have not seen this behavior before...
, also, please double check you selected the option correctly
(I sometimes get the light/dark backwards on iscore.)
fielders = 9 (dark on 9, light on 10)
hopefully it is that easy, if not reply back.

Re: Shows 10 players on defense
It is likely the issue with not being clear on the 9 | 10 selection. The 10th fielder only shows up in situations where you have set the game to allow 10 players. If you start a game with 10 players by accident, you can always go to the settings and change it back to 9 even while scoring.
Re: Shows 10 players on defense
I can guarantee mine is set with the 9 "dark", but if I have a guy set to OF, I get a 10th player. I can reproduce it every time. Now I see him in the roster, but always correct it if I see it, so I don't know if he shows up in the field.

Re: Shows 10 players on defense
Sorry... trying to understand the issue. Are you saying that if you set a player to OF as their position, then a 10th player appears in the field regardless of whether you set set the game options to allow 10 players? Or are you just saying in the roster / lineup you see 10 distinct positions? We would expect seeing 10 distinct positions if you are assigning "OF" to a player, but we would not expect to see a 10th fielder on the field. In fact, we just ran a test by setting a player to "OF" and leaving the number of players as 9, and do not see a 10th fielder on the field in the scoring screen. This is what we would expect.
Re: Shows 10 players on defense
did not sound like a line up issue but a scoreing screen issue. I too tried to replicate andBurr22 wrote: It shows a fielder in right-center field with a "?" on the position.
could not....
tangent...(small display bug ?)
if you have 10 fielder option on, on scoring screen the 10th OF fielder is placed in Right Center, but touch a fielder square to go to substitution screen, and the 10th fielder OF is in displayed in "right right".. the graphical positioning of the 10th fielder is different on the two screens scoring and substitution .

No, all outfielders are defined as LF, CF, RF.jcbeckman wrote:Is that fielder listed at the position "OF" by chance? I have guys on the rosters that are "OF" and when setting upa lineup I need to make sure they get set to "OUT" before hitting "Play".

Also, is there a way to do a default to automatically designate 7 innings and 9 position players?Burr22 wrote:No, all outfielders are defined as LF, CF, RF.jcbeckman wrote:Is that fielder listed at the position "OF" by chance? Re: Shows 10 players on defense
When creating a new game, you can set those values in the Options item for the new game. In our next release, we are saving the previous settings to use as the default for the next new game you create.
