twittercast

Post by htyner » Tue Apr 21, 2015 12:07 pm

older xoom, android, iScore v4.47.401; stay current with version updates, (or at least appear to); no issues for several years.

trying to get automatic mid-inning and end of inning recap tweets to automatically go thru, so I deactivated twittercast.

when trying to re-authorize I enter my twitter user name @purvisbaseball and the 'absolutely correct, just changed it' twitter password and am getting an error 'user name and password combination failed'.

nothing at all wrong with the twitter account, it is fine, I can tweet from within twitter, on PC, phone, and even same device, just cant reactivate twitter account from within iScore.

any ideas?

I also now see on older posts where android won't automatically tweet mid-inning/end of inning.
why is that, and are there any plans for fixing that?
I tweet manually from within a scored game, but viewers want mid- and end of inning recaps, not who's batting/pitching, etc.

The Android version does not have the automatic mid-inning tweets, but we will be adding this feature to Android in a future update.

We did confirm that going to Options -> Twittercast, we are able to log in to a Twitter account just fine, and send a test tweet. And any time we tap the Tweet button in game, a tweet is sent out.

If you are unable to log in from the Options -> Twittercast screen, then either there is an issue with the internet connection from the phone to Twitter, the name/password is wrong, or Twitter is not allowing the iScore app from your account for some reason. You can log in to your twitter account from a computer and check if you have disabled access for any particular applications.

fyi... when entering your user name, do not include the "@" symbol in front of it as you have put in your message.

One more note... the end of inning tweets on Android will be in the next update.

i had tried logging in with and without the '@' in the user name, and was absolutely positive of using the correct password. but no luck.
then today, tried it again, and voila' it worked. must've not been holding my mouth just right (old southern saying)

when is the next update? I 've been copying and pasting text of mid- and end of inning updates, and although it works, it's kinda cumbersome.

thanks for the reply.
