what is the significance of the seq stat?
What does it tell you and how is it figured?

It is more of an internal "stat" used for ordering the players in some cases. It is the order in which the player bats. When you look at it for a single game, you will see the numbers from 1-9 (or however many batters you have). When it is a cumulative number, it loses some meaning, though you can say that users with a lower number generally batted higher in the order. It is hidden by default.
