Here is a play that happened in our game last week:
Ground ball hit to 5
5 throws wide to 3
Ball gets by 3
Batter advances to 2nd base and then heads to 3rd base
3 recovers ball and throws to 5 for the tag out
During the game, I scored this reaching on an error, then a 3-5 putout. Upon further conversation and reflection with the coach, we have decided that the throw would not have been in time, even if it was on target. So, I went to the pitch-by-pitch editor and changed the original error to a hit. Unfortunately, the pitch-by-pitch editor will not allow me to re-insert the error that accounts for the advance to 2nd base. It did let me keep the 3-5 putout. Any suggestions? Or, is iScore really correct in not allowing that data entry, in that there would not be an error since an out was made on the play?

Re: Changing from Error to Hit
If the baserunner had a hit, and then was thrown out on an overthrow that would not have been an out anyway, then it is not an error.
