Player list cleanup

Post by 6screaminkids » Wed Mar 19, 2014 9:34 am

I have been using iScore for over 3 years. With 4 kids, little league teams, jr high teams, high school teams and club ball teams. Since my youngest isn't playing anymore - and teams/players she played against or with would not play with my oldest, their stats are not needed. I removed teams and games, but the players remain with no stats. Is there a way to sort the players to view those with 0 stats - or no team assigned so I can remove them. I have over 5000 names in my database and don't really want to click on each player individually to see.
Thanks!

You can use Leagues to group players into the leagues they play(ed) in, and then keep only the active leagues turned on, and you will only see that data. See the following link in the iScore documentation for more information about league usage:

I do use leagues - every season has a league - every weekend tournament has a league. BUT - to click on each player individually and add them to a league that I will just then turn off? It will be just as easy to click on the 5000 names - see if they have a team assigned - and if not - delete them.

It's a database of names - it would be nice to be able to export it - and sort it as needed.

I realize it doesn't take up a lot of space on my ipad. I just would like it cleaned up.

If you are using an iOS device, you can select League Manager, select the League, select Players, and assign players to the league by checking / unchecking them there. We will be adding that functionality to Android in a future update as well. It helps make the list management easier for this type situation.

My problem is - I don't know what girls need to be removed.
I removed the teams / leagues that my youngest played in - and have basically orphaned players. :-)
I guess it makes for a great way to kill some time between games on a weekend.
Clicking on each player.... one by one.

I leave all players in the device. and just do not worry about assigning them to leagues. When we face a team a second time, those teams and players i may take time to put in designated leagues. but basically i just focus on leagues for my team players. the rest stay in player manager and i do not delete players or team or historic games.

you do have iPad so the check process is an option from league manager and player tab.
